INTERESTING STATISTICS
54% of returning war veterans with chronic pain, according to a 2006 survey taken by the American Pain Foundation, are diagnosed with Polytrauma or Causalgia (both military "code" for RSD). • Diabetic Neuropathy initially may not cause any noticeable symptoms.
• Be sure to have regular checkups for signs of Neuropathy if you already have Diabetes.

Quick Facts about RSD

• Anyone can get it, any age, all races, it is not inherited and there seems to be no predisposition for it.
• Typically starts with a minor injury (needle poke, sprained ankle, whiplash, broken bone, surgery...)
• Fast Way to explain it:
• Your injured (insult to body),
• You feel pain, “healing” chemical comes in to fix it,
• When it is healed a second chemical comes in to take the “healing chemical” away (thus the pain signal is stopped).
• With RSD patients for unknown reasons, the second chemical does not come in.
